They are suitable for seniors who are able to take partial responsibility for themselves (e.g. needing a cane to get around or partial supervision/assistance with showering) and who wish to live in an environment designed for the elderly. - Beit Avot Siyoudiyim (Nursing homes):
They are suitable for people who need help with the majority of daily activities and whose characteristic is that they move in a wheelchair. These basic actions are called "Activities of Daily Living (ADL)" and there are usually 2 residents per room. The 3 meals + 2 snacks are offered and included in the rates. - Beit Avot le Tchouchey Nefesh (Retirement homes with a closed department to protect residents with dementia/Alzheimer's disease)
They are suitable for people who need help with all daily activities but are able to move around on their own (if they are in a wheelchair, they are taken care of in the Siyoudi departments). These basic actions are called "Activities of Daily Living (ADL)" and there are usually 2 residents per room. The 3 meals + 2 snacks are offered and included in the rates. - The Beit Avot mechulavim (Integrated Retirement Homes):
These are bate avot leatsmayim with a department for chushim, siyudim and/or for chuhcey nefesh (see the three types of establishments above).
- The Diyour Mougane (literally protected housing, the equivalent of the Residence Services in France):
It is suitable for independent people who wish to live in an age-appropriate environment. The resident (Dayar) benefits from an apartment with a small kitchen and a basket of services as desired. The hotel level is higher and the average age is lower.

- Diyour Tomekh (literally supportive housing) or siyoudi/chouch nefesh departments (see definitions above) in a Diyour Mougane:
They are Diyour Mougan with a care department to take care of the resident whose state of health has more or less physically or psychologically deteriorated.
